Cookie Policy
Effective 2026-05-03 · Version 2026-05-03
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let websites remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and measure how the site is used. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and pixel tags; for the purposes of this policy, those are treated the same way as cookies.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
Required to operate the Service. Cannot be rejected because the site cannot function without them. Examples:
- Authentication tokens (keeps you signed in).
- Session security and CSRF protection.
- Stripe payment scripts when you check out.
- Your cookie-consent choice itself.
Analytics (consent required)
Help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. Examples:
- Page-view counts and navigation paths.
- Performance and error reporting.
Marketing (consent required)
Used to personalize content and measure the effectiveness of campaigns. Examples:
- Conversion tracking from ads or email links.
- Personalised recommendations.
How to change your choices
On first visit you are presented with a cookie banner offering "Accept all", "Reject all", or a "Customize" option. To change your choice later, clear your browser's site data for Toolie and the banner will re-appear on next visit. (We will replace this with a self-serve preference centre in a later release.)
Third-party cookies
Some content on the Service is provided by third parties (Stripe for payments, Google Maps for maps, Mapbox for tiles). These providers may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy practices. Stripe and Google Maps are loaded only on pages where they are needed.
Updates
We may update this policy as we add or remove cookies. When the policy version changes, your stored consent is invalidated and the banner reappears.
